Seven of our finest just landed a spot in a Santa Monica exhibition—talk about island talent going big. If you want to celebrate creatives who actually know how to make magic happen here, catch "The Art of Expression" featuring Carla Stanley's work at Orcas Center tonight at 5:30pm, then stick around for that golden hour starting at 5:22pm (the light is going to be *chef's kiss*). Plus, burn permits just went local, which means less bureaucratic red tape and more actual bonfires—autumn's looking pretty good from here.
